The Cold Forest

The character in the picture forgot why he (she) is here, in this frozen forest. Either waiting on a prey or resignedly freezing in the snow. Winter is the sleep of nature, sleep is akin to death. The forest is an icy, cold, alien world where one can easily freeze to death. This work was started as a landscape when I was taking a rest in Finland. The character appeared later and the canvas acquired both a plot and a drama.
